其實，most 的問題是這樣。你可以 most 一個字：
√ Most young people can’t afford to buy luxury products.
也可以說 most of the 三個字：
√ Most of the young people can’t afford to buy luxury products.
但★★★不可以說兩個字 most of★★★

那，該如何判斷要用 most 還是 most of the 呢？
就是要遵守定冠詞 (the) 的用法。定冠詞通常會指已經提到、特定的東西。
所以，上面的例子，如果是說者第一次提到那些年輕人，大概會說 MOST young people.
但如果說者跟聽者已經說過那群年輕人，大概會說 MOST OF THE young people.

其實，有時所有格形容詞 (my, your, his, her, our, their) 會代替 the. 如：
Most of my friends are students.
(我的朋友，大部分是學生。)
